Roscoe named the "Ultimate Fishing Town" The tiny Sullivan County hamlet was officially named the winner of the World Fishing Network’s “Ultimate Fishing Town” contest, winning by 1,448 votes. Representatives from The Roscoe - Rockland Chamber of Commerce will receive $25,000 to use on “fishing-related” projects, 10 WaveSpin Reels and a short feature on the network. Roscoe emerged last week as the contest winner, erasing a deficit of more than 10,000 votes to edge the town of Waddington in upstate St. Lawrence County. Roscoe finished with 267,432 votes. As the runner-up, Waddington, will get $5,000 while the third place finisher, Baudette, MN will receive $2,500.
